We frequently assist clients, foreign lawyers, professional trustees and others with all aspects of Cayman trust law.  We regularly assist clients with the establishment and administration of commercial and private trusts.  Our lawyers have particular expertise in drafting trust documentation and reviewing such documentation to ensure compliance with the Islands ' laws.

Solomon Harris is able to advise on the suitability of an offshore trust in any given circumstance and the various benefits/implications of establishing such a trust.  The trust laws of the Cayman Islands together with its renowned fiscal, legal and professional infrastructure have led to the Cayman Islands becoming a jurisdiction of choice for the establishment of offshore trusts.

Our lawyers regularly act in trusts and estates related litigation. We have a variety of experience in such litigation ranging from the mundane to the complex.   We bring a straightforward and balanced approach to litigation.

Our recent retainers include:  we are currently counsel to the executor of a large, very litigious estate consisting of approximately $15 million worth of mostly undeveloped real property; we were recently retained by a very well regarded foreign firm to advise them with respect to the relationship between a Cayman family trust and a predecessor trust in an other offshore jurisdiction and to advise with respect to the proposed movement of assets between them; and we are advising a commercial trustee with respect to litigation arising from their administration of a commercial trust worth more than $500 million.
